Biles as well as their younger sibling Adria were conceived by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles their grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston area) and grew up in the Houston area. Biles won the floor and vault exercises at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships before getting to the elite competition level in 2011. A year later, Biles dominated the sport.
