Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actress best known for playing House in Fox's medical drama House. At the age of 18, Lisa moved into New York City from Wayne which was where she was affixed to strict Jewish tradition. She was soon involved in club culture, causing enough of a stir that she caught the interest of the media. She eventually used her experience as well as her celebrity to compose and write a musical titled Positive Me which she was a part of. Soon after she was employed by MTV to present Awake On The Wild Side. Once the program was over, she went on to do film and TV productions. The first time she worked, she was able to get tiny roles and then established herself in the process of becoming an actress.
